Kinship Care - Wraparound Services

photoThe Kinship Wrap Around and Kinship Legal Guardianship Programs of The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey serve seven counties including Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Hunterdon, Somerset, Ocean and Union.

For Kinship Wrap Around Program, the kinship caregivers are adults who are raising relatives' children in their own homes and, as such, may qualify for wraparound services, which provide funding for short-term or one-time expenses such as housing, furniture, clothing, special activities, and camp.

To qualify for these services, kinship caregivers must prove they are relatives or legal guardians of the children and that the children live with them without their biological parent(s). Financial eligibility depends on the kinship caregiver's age and the size and income of the family unit. Caregivers must show proof of relationship and income. The caregivers can apply yearly until the child turns 18 year of age.

To register, call the Kinship Navigator toll free at 1-800-396-4518.
